I actually thought D Davis came across quite well this morning, but of course the torygraph has lot of power sadly and some people are influenced for some reason by it and some other parts of the national media.
Probably a good Idea to go for a younger option, they don't have much to lose, apart from there leadership election when they go for it, will probably end up in the short term electing a labour govt
Most people now agree it's just a matter of when T May either goes herself, or is pushed.

All people have always agreed its just a matter of time before May goes pushed or otherwise the same as every elected PM since sir Robert Walpole!

The name of Priti Patel has come up and she appears to be planning to stand when the leadership election happens but I doubt with her history she stands too much of a chance.

I give to the end of August, the demise of the political career of Theresa May.
The marching season in Northern Ireland starts end of this month. The riot in East London last night will be a vicar's tea party in comparison to the unrest in Belfast /Derry.
Stupid Woman,Theresa May.

So Theresa is supported by the DUP? So what?
Whilst they might not be over keen on icing a cake for a gay 'wedding', unlike Jezza's Mohammedan following, the majority of their supporters would not want to throw the happy couple off the nearest tall building.

Courtesy of the Telegraph.
Theresa May is a "lame horse" Prime Minister propped up by a "selfish" Cabinet, furious junior ministers have said amid threats of resignations. Some members of the Government are growing increasingly frustrated at the actions of Boris Johnson and his Cabinet colleagues for "pushing the Prime Minister around like a rag doll" to serve their own "self-indulgent" ends.
The rift over public sector pay which played out over the weekend served to accelerate talks between junior ministers who want to see Mrs May stand aside within months to allow the party to rebuild its reputation after a bruising election campaign.Mid-ranking ministers claim their more senior colleagues are taking advantage of the weakened Prime Minister so they can pursue their own agendas, amid mounting frustration that the Government is "doing nothing" and "going nowhere".
One minister told The Telegraph they are considering resigning in order to fast-track the inevitable leadership contest to replace Mrs May before the party's annual conference in October. Others are understood to be considering their options and have planned a series of meetings, away from Westminster, to discuss the next steps for a rejuvenated Tory party.
One junior minister said the "discontent" has stepped up since the row over pay, during which Michael Gove and the Foreign Secretary publicly called for an end to the 1 per cent cap, despite warnings from the Chancellor that such a move would trigger extra taxes. The source added that the spat, which they believe masks the ambitions of a number of senior Conservatives who want to run for leader themselves, risks "trashing" the Conservative record on the economy which should be "protected at all costs".

This just shows even the Torygraph is losing faith with the conservative party.
This is to be an ongoing problem for them

I hope they wait until after Brexit is sorted before getting rid of the seemingly weak Theresa May, surely more disruption will not help the negotiations.
Time to stop the internal bickering and leaks if only for a little while.

It is in the interests of the potential leaders that Mrs May takes the blame for the settlement that is likely to split the party down the middle. The new leader will start with a clean sheet and set about uniting the party.

As one who voted to remain, I do find it surprizing where we find ourselves now.
A very weak Govt, a Brexit that is unlikely to be anywhere near what people thought they were voting for.
A Government in internal battles that will in time explode.
None of this bodes well for the country

Not only the Tories likely to have serious differences but Labour too. Jezza has been an ardent hater of the EU all his career until he pretended to want to remain in it to appease the new young mass membership. Momentum seem to be targeting about 50 MPs that are anti Jezza but those same people are wanting to stay in the Single Market and Customs Union, confusing times.
