It appears Neil , Button has become your spokesperson ?
I continue to read Neil's posts, I think he's desperate for a Labour Govt , no matter that they have ditched most of what they were formed for.
Over to you Neil

They're just fed up with this government as much as anybody else. The two byelections speak for themselves. Time for change.

I don't think Neil, anyone disputes they are fed up with the govt.
The question remains , will any thing be any better under Neil's light blue Labour party

Your obsession with Neil's posts is beginning to verge on the disturbing. Quite why you should think he has either 'followers' or a 'light blue Labour party' is a bit beyond me.

Next time I'm at Crabble - I will buy you a coffee, Keith! We can discuss
I hear this a lot - for many, this is not their perfect version of the Labour party and I get that. Comparisons are drawn with Blair and New Labour. My response is simply that in my lifetime, Blair is the only elected Labour party leader. As the Tories are now finding out, to be elected into government, you have to have appeal beyond your membership.

Councillors resigning by the hundreds.
MP suspended.
So near to winning and they're about to throw it all away over something they have exactly zero control over?
Delicious.

Neil
I look forward to the coffee
Dover at home next two Saturday's and next Tuesday
Be I to Labour , Blair did get elected under a very unpopular tory party .
Whilst this is the same this time round and Labour likely to win, there is a difference that there is little more support for labour than tories.
In the lead up to Blair years he did at least out everything in place to get elected .
Expelling members and resigning councillors was something Blair didn't face on a daily basis.
The big question remains , for t he working person is Labour any better than Tories

I could understand councillors resigning over there being, say, no commitment to nationalise this country's utilities, or its public transport, or to remove nuclear weapons from its arsenal, but instead it seems their deal-breaker was words spoken or left unspoken about one or both parties in a foreign conflict. The word I'd use is 'odd'.

Muslims and anti-semites v the small handful of semi-normal members trying to keep a lid on things, lead by Keith Starmer who looks in shock since he and Lammy had that security briefing!
(Not helped by the People's Front of Palestine calling Palestine People's Front members wankers and splitters).
