Momentum is something that has come to a halt with the realisation that posting on social media, waving placards in front of tv cameras and deifying someone who is universally disliked by people who normally vote Labour has brought the movement to a dead end. Sorry to say this Bob but your chances of turning your tickets into an earner on the black market are practically zero.

Quite a lot has moved on, we now see JC coming out of his shell a little, but probably to little to late.
The country will prove I believe in 2020 it is not ready to go back to left wing politics.
Momentum make no mistake Howard are still lurking/organising in the background, a have control of the Folkestone party.
Throughout the country they are organising within the party, just like in the militant days with our old friend Mr Hatton.
There is a campaign ongoing to allow back into the party all those that were expelled after those bad old days of militant, most have now got themselves involved in the momentum movement, which is organising as we speak.
Look at the wider picture; We have a tory govt likely to be in for 20 years with little opposition
We have a tory county council which is going to win an even bigger majority due to boundary changes
with limited opposition
We have a tory district council which isn't likely to change as I don't see labour out on the streets campaigning so the hope will be people will just turn out, a silly move but there you are
We also have a very divided tory/indy very loosely tied DTC with splits opening up
But all in all democracy and accountability is the loser
in other words you and me
I'm hoping for change

Correct Keith. And control in Thanet. Expect even more of Trotsky's 'transitional demands' as motions to Local Councils.

Thanet is a concern as it is has traditionally changed hands politically although the scandal over using funds from a charity for political gain will come back to haunt Labour there. Shepway doesn't have a single Labour District Councillor and that is unlikely to change soon. The Lib Dems normally attract the anti Tory vote there so Momentum have no real chance of influence.

Loadsa lefties still howling at the moon in frustration at finding themselves on the wrong side of history.
Whilst in Dover most of the surgeries involving our local Labour councillors are of the bariatric kind.

With Jackie Walker asking the important questions of her MP and Bob Wedge advising Jezza it's got to be a winning formula!

That's an odd statement, Mr Sansum1. I see Labour campaigning quite a bit across Dover and Deal. You must see them too.

I thought the Labour party were at least 'the party of protest'?
Looks like they can't even organise that!

Looks very much like Jon Lansman and Unite have joined forces in order to control the party and lead them to heavy defeat at the next General Election.

I don’t think Jeremy is interested in being PM ?
I think his mission is to rid the labour party of the Blair MPs.
The elephant in the room is the labour party is no longer the labour party ,it’s become the liberal party with all its out of touch fantasy policy’s that come with it .

Problem is that he has such an ego that he doesn't realise he makes his party more and more unelectable. We have a situation where the Government has a slim majority and can still make unpopular moves knowing they won't be put under pressure by the opposition. We know that school budgets are taking a big hit leaving them just enough to cover their core subjects and we hear today that waiting lists for surgery in the NHS will grow longer. Corbyn is quite happy being holier than thou but nothing more.

I don't think jezza is interested in standing for PM he's just a heat shield. Come
2020 another face will step forward.
Jezza is more interested in reform power to the membership to get rid of the Bliar gang

They will need someone soon that can be given time to shake of the Corbyn factor, two years at least.
I reckon either Clive Lewis or Keir Starmer are best placed to repair the damage and make them look like serious Government material.

It's too late now Howard not even David Miliband could turn around their fortunes in time for the next election. I forecast a 150+ majority for the Cons in 2020 which will be impossible to turn around until 2030 at the earliest.
By then A&E's will have an average waiting time of two days and school classrooms will have to squeeze in 70 kids
