the mention of the german system reminds me of that locum doctor that caused the death of someone, got struck off then went to work in germany.
the victims son was a g.p. himself and followed the man to germany and berated him to the authorities to no avail.
still working in the german health service.
Ah. One bad German doctor and the entire system is pants. Numerous cock-ups in the NHS and its' "bless, what a great system".
I am a bit irritated with the concept of Gobbledegook that is endemic in some posts. It seems only to apply to things the poster does not understand.

Patients``treated in corridors``claim Royal College of Nursing.
Staffing levels blamed and the government said there were enough beds for this not to happen.Wrong.
RSN said front line staff were being placed under ``huge stress``adding the NHS is going backwards.
Before the few jump and in and say the reform was only made legislation a few weeks ago .....Paul W stated in recent
postings and it is known by many that the reforms were started two years ago and nearly 100 % in place before legislation
was ...passed...another example of an undemocratic act by this Coalition.
That kind of shabby practice has been going on for years. And years. And has been colluded with by shabby managers for years without challenge or accountability. It is not a new thing by any means and covers a span of different shades of government.
It might be down to the abolition of targets in A and E which meant that trusts where fined if a person waited over 4 hours regardless of the seriousness if thier condition .
This meant that the nonsensical situation could occur where a minor injury was treated whilst a major trauma was left as the minor complaint was nearer the "fine" timescale than the major injury . Now these targets are mainly eliminated some people are of course waiting longer .
Corridors where at one time renamed "wards" to avaoid the fines , but they where still corridors !

Royal College of Nursing claim 61,113 posts have been lost or at risk.NHS services outside of hospitals are struggling to cope
with hospital bed shortages and staff cut backs.Andrew L ansley addresses their annual congress today with 98% of
delegates backing a vote of no confidence in him.
It is true that we need adequate staffing, but don't ever confuse quantity with quality.
the figures quoted are total NHS staff as yet I havnt seen a breakdown of the ammount of clinicans affected or a definative list of types of job that may be affected , not everyone who works in the NHS is a nurse or Dr . Without the details it is all conjecture that can be spun by either side

Nurses heckle `Liar` Lansley over NHS staffing claims.Congress pointed out the truth was since Lansley took Office
the number of Qualified Nurses has reduced by 3,000.Nurses also pointed out Cameron`s promise before the election was
not to change the NHS.There is now a NHS Check Service where patients and staff can register their concerns of the impact
of the Government`s reforms.
Its worth noting it was written in 2008,

"The Information Commissioner says the government's refusal to publish the full risk assessment of the planned changes to the NHS is unjustified and departs from policy".
http://www.bbc.co.uk/news/health-18071681*&*%$£(^&^&!! The risk register is such a red herring.

the issue is one of arrogance in refusing to publish.
