``Social Care is major factor in the Bill``.........within one week of the Bill being approved in the commons the first
contract on Social Care was placed with a Private Company.................
Prior to the 2010 election Cameron made a speech..............``Conservatives are the Party for the NHS``
...........``We will not make any major changes to the NHS``...............??????????????

So what's new Reg.
Social care has been contracted out to the private sector for 40 years+ to my knowledge & has been used by all governments.

Reg, presumably the enterprises you ran successfully during your business career were also private businesses? I don't understand your obsession with this aspect of healthcare.

# 514............thanks for your response....Agreed but last week the amount of contracts to Private Firms increased...
The number of contracts will now increase for the next few years and in 2015 ...if your team get in it will increase even
more.........
# 515......All businesses have to make a profit.................NHS is not meant to make a profit......
# 510............?..........
Why is the NHS not supposed to make a profit?

BERN
Can you qualify that comment?
i understand that the nhs needs money to spend and money in the nhs maybe should be seen differently when we look at profit.
if its run for profit who will benefit?> what corners will be cut?

Profit is not about cutting corners but efficiency and if profit is made by the NHS then that adds to the available resources of the NHS.

profit, cutting corners go hand in hand, patient care would a better way to go.
