Persons Nominated - unlike last time no small parties other than Greens, or independents.

Thanks for that Ray, spotted one odd thing there.
Deryck Murray only defected to the Lib Dems a few days ago but is shown as a proposer on the form there which would have been done a few weeks back.

And Labour put in three forms - couldn't they agree on who the nominees were going to be, or did they put in three so that gave them more chance of getting one right?

Purely for interest why do the Conservatives have candidate after the party name?

My understanding is that once Parliament is dissolved there are no MP's just candidates. A few points that stand out on the District council candidates, as expected Gordon is parachuted into a relatively safe seat whilst Sue Jones is back on her own manor. Aylsham is a straight fight between the Reds and UKIP and most surprisingly the UKIP chairman is standing in St Radigunds rather than his own ward.

Don't forget Howard he stood there in a Town Council by-election and got 47% of the vote against Jim Hood, could be interesting.

Still think he would do better in Castle Ray. there have been rumblings of discontent about the long serving incumbent Nigel. Besides there should be a much higher turnout this time than in a town council by-election.

3 polls today show a lead for the Reds after the Non Dom thing, not up to speed with that issue myself I have to admit but the reds will be delighted with the personal attack on Ed from Michael Fallon today, more brownie points for them.

Pleased to hear Barry is giving the sensible/financial view about the various policies.
I know it doesn't help the low paid workers per sae, but if business are tied up too tight on regulations and wage rises, they are more likely not to employ people, which goes back to my argument about £10.00 per hour, and the employer being paid the difference and then no one gets benefits.
I appreciate this needs more thought, but we do need a work-force that is paid comensurate with their ability and benefit to the company they work for and where the company can afford to pay.
Labour are being disengenuous about zero hours; I put on here a while ago, that there are over 70 councils employing people on zero hours.
Working should always pay, but sadly it doesn't sometimes.

Total hypocrisy from the Reds over zero hours but the Blues are refusing to say where their massive welfare cuts are going to hit. In work benefits must be affected which will mean the poor getting poorer. More business for the food banks I suppose.

re 173
Actually Roger he is just insulting people who don't agree with him, it was UKIP for a while now it is anyone he considers to be a "leftie". He must lose the Blues votes every time he posts accusing everyone of stupidity, ignorance and bigotry.

As I don't go on to Facebook, I haven't read his posts. Shame if that's the case. Barry really know his stuff on anything to do with investments and finances.

Does anyone really take any notice of Barry and his extreme views, I ignore him 99% of the time but he certainly does the Tory cause no good.

His party should have muzzled him a while back Jan, Charlie must cringe every time he posts. The other parties love him because he turns the uncommitted away from the Blues so they keep provoking him.
