Sorry to see you drag party politics into it Roger, you were at the meeting and saw that it was ordinary local people taking on powerful institutions and carrying the day. Not one of the excellent speeches came from anyone involved in politics.
Election leaflets have been delivered with no mention of the bus service. If we make it a political issue then it has to be noted that Clair was the only one of the 4 candidates in attendance.

I wasn't trying to bring politics into the discussion Howard, just saying that I hoped the Labour party didn't. I'm certainly not claiming credit, but of course willing to help.
Yes, I did see ordinary people/residents letting KCC and Stagecoach how they felt and well done them.

Some lighter moments on the campaign trail, the first refers to health warnings on cigarette packets not being hard hitting enough.

I think that the cardigan/jumper Nige is wearing, would put the majority of smokers/voters, off.

Tony Blair has now stuck his oar in making it clear that we are not bright enough to have a view on our membership of the EU.
That won't help one nation ed.

I should think Labour wheeling out Tony Blair has been a big help for the Tories, while their confusion about non doms and their tax payments will not help either.

Tony Blair won three elections, surely he is entitled to a opinion?

The most successful UK politician in modern times but now his name stinks. The war in Iraq that has left a country in ruins and advising despots how to brush up their public image. The Reds do not want him involved in the campaign he should respect that.

Can't think of any on the red side Paul, I suppose he just felt the need to spout off.

The pollsters think that Ed is favourite to become Prime Minister next month for two main reasons.
a)Constituency boundaries are in their favour.
b) They have many more fringe parties that would form a coalition with them.

The bookies disagree. Dave is on 8/13 and Ed 5/4 or 6/4.

Not exactly surprising mud gets slung whenever there is an election.

I don't know if this is true Paul b ut there is a rumour going around that Brian was so taken with UKIP at the meeting he signed up on the spot and has been seen around town wearing a purple suit with yellow pin stripes, badge on the lapel saying "up yours ed". Might not be true of course.
