"The disabled have nothing to fear, the fakers and frauds do and quite right too. The government is spot on doing this."
That is a stupid lie, from a person completely out of touch with reality.
1000's of genuine honest disabled people will continue to have their rightful benefits, taken from them and their carers, affecting their whole family and will have to suffer a year of depression trying to get back what is not only rightfully theirs, in many cases they have paid for that right to receive benefits.
God forbid that you ever find yourself in their position, you certainly would not handle it well, all the disabled people I know are far braver than you will ever be.
PS. The fakers & frauds would laugh at your statement, on their way to the bank. They know how to play the system and they are the ones who have nothing to fear.

GaryC - your enthusiasm for handing out taxpayers dosh to scroungers knows no bounds. You may be naive enough to believe all the lame excuses of those wanting to carry on screwing the taxpayers, I am not.

Should I Google that or seek it through Amazon, or enquire of The Duchy Of Cornwall?

Barry is not talking about Gary's plight Keith, but the many thousands of non-deserving claiments.
I agree with Gary though, that those benefit cheats certainly know their way round the system, so will do all they can not to lose any money; in most cases it will be the genuine, naive, disabled person who will lose out and that is wrong - morally and financially.

i hope that anyone looking in does not think barry's clear loathing of the disabled is representative of the forum.

I know Barry can speak for himself Howard, but he doesn't have a loathing for disabled people, just the "non-deserving" claiments.

Roger;
you probably need to re read barryw's [posts, garyc has also made it clear those abusing the system should be sorted something garyc has posted many times over the years.
Like garyc says its those that also get caught up in the system and lose out that is the problem which garyc point out

There really is no point in talking to an idiot like you.
Not once have I defended the scroungers, which make your accusations, malicious lies.

Well said Gary.
Many of the disabled are suffering terribly, imagine loosing about £50 a week (or more) for about a year while you wait for the needless re-assessment of your payments.
Barry, you really should learn that the vast majority are not cheats or scroungers and the these assessments probably cost more than catching the few who are, it is a complete fiasco.

Prince Charles estate £ 700 million accused of Tax avoidance. The Duchy of Conwall gave
Prince an income of £ 18 million last year but did not pay any Corporation Tax.
Due to the enormity of Tax avoidance / evasion Britain needs a simpler Tax system The Government `s approach is lacking in
vigor and urgency.

GaryC #1971. Once again you resort to personal abuse. I have an exceptionally low opinion of you too but I do not feel the need to point that out on the forum all the time and cannot be bothered to respond in the same manner.
You claim to be against scroungers but that is just words if you oppose the measures in place to catch them out.
But then to some it seems compassion, so called, is all about the reckless spending of other people's money while driving the economy into bankruptcy. That is not compassion, it is a cruel deceit on the genuinely deserving ensuring an unsustainable benefit system within an unsustainable economy.
There are plenty of people who deserve real help and real compassion but there are also many, far too many who abuse the system and they deserve nothing.
There are some clear rules about long term incapacity by which you have to pass the 'all work' test to claim. In other words to claim you have to show you cannot do any work at all. Those who fail that test should lose their benefits immediately and all of those who do lose benefits will complain about it and come up with their sob stories. That does not mean you have to believe them.

I called you an idiot because that is what you are and your last post proves it.
You have no grasp on the reality of what is going on around you.
"You claim to be against scroungers but that is just words if you oppose the measures in place to catch them out".
These measures have been used before and they did not catch the scroungers.
Yet these same measures are being used again with the same result, they are not catching the scroungers.
Therefore, if they did not get the scrounger's, last time and are not getting the scroungers this time.
Why are they still wasting tax payers money on measures that they already know won't catch the scroungers?
You know the answer to that BarryW but you won't be man enough to admit it.

GaryC - once more resorting to personal abuse and in so doing demonstrating your inability to put together a proper argument.
All you are doing is finding excuses to doll out taxpayers money to the undeserving without any checks and balances. There is nothing fair and compassionate about that.
I am not getting into swapping pointless insults with you at your level.
