They did Paul, but looking on Google earth it looks like there are about 20 similar units on the site.

Thanks Reg. I had assummed there was just the one unit on site. If there are so many, plus no doubt more units in other parts of the country which will also need maintaining/servicing, you'd think there would be an alternative easier option to sending the blooming things half way across Europe at a steady 4mph?!

It amazes me that they cannot refurbish/service the transformers in this country,or even on site with vehicles and technology that we have now.i know they are built abroad but even when they need servicing they are transported back to Germany.The move by road and sea must cost thousands.
