I agree with Helen, compassion is needed. But that does not exclude the setting of boundaries, in fact it demands it. I have sympathy with people on their uppers or experiencing social or health challenges and recognise that there is a hairsbreadth between us. I also recognise that behaviours can be managed and expectations made clear, and not to do so is not doing those guys any favours.

some good news that i can formally anounce on here.
our thirsty brethren have relocated to outside the disused multi storey car park and look very organised too.
our home grown ones gather opposite the river and the eastern europeans at the side facing snoops.
all's well that ends well.
Not at 1700 all neatly slumped back in the Market Square open cans by their feet and the happy adidition of a dog not on a lead.
