I think that I was quite clear about being a Christian myself, I wouldn't dream of using someone's profession of faith to discredit them. I offered advice to you Alexander re gaining a greater understanding of and obedience to the faith that you profess - in Biblical terms its called Discipleship - and until you study to understand Biblical hermeneutics and exegis and thus understand the Gospel and Christian theology more completely through an informed reading of Scripture, I'm afraid that you will continue to misrepresent Christianity and discredit yourself on this forum in this regard.
Just so as we are clear, I am not a theologian or Classical/Biblical scholar, just a man who converted to Christianity from secularism and who takes the Word of God very seriously, seriously enough to study it deeply and learn some of the languages that it was originally written in so that I can better understand what it means. As a Christian I believe that the Bible is God's Words, Spirit inspired and inerrant in the language and text that was used by the writers, it is therefore of vital importance that I, and every person who professes the same faith, study it and come to understand as much of it as is humanly possible so that we can at least make a good go at living lives that are obedient to our Lord - we, none of us, will ever live in perfect obedience because we do not understand perfectly (and probably never will) and have the handicap of a sinful nature which in and of our own strength we cannot overcome.
I wish you would not misrepresent what has been made clear on other threads about other subjects Alexander, it is unbecoming of a man of faith. To the best of my knowledge no group or organisation has claimed to BE the local community, only (and rightly) claimed to be representative of the local community, as is still the case.
I always find it strange when you extrapolate what has actually been said to the nth degree and then proclaim in capitals that you are something that no one has suggested you might not be or not something that no one has inferred that you might be - very odd and hardly rational. I think that you might find that many people on this forum are practicing Christians, British and are not cowards and yet none find it necessary to declare these things either time and time again or in block capitals. Its just extremely odd and unusual - every forum should have one of you.

61, Howard, I don't know who it was aimed at either, but I think we all need to take avoiding action.

#57 Martin also summed up my feelings.
#59 The same sort of rant that the terrorist fanatics produce, swap the word Christian for Islam and you will see what I mean. Before Alexander hits out I am not saying he is a terrorist or a fanatic.
#60 Neil, as sensible and calm as usual.

My previous post is clear:
I have been associated owing to my British Christian Faith to the Jihadis who attacked a British soldier in London and am prepared to stand up and let the People decide whether to condemn me!
I have nothing to hide and will not run away.
You know where to find me, in Dover!

This is no pub speech, I have just drunk coffee with milk, as is my custom in the afternoon.
Associating me to the Jihadis is one thing, but rendering this claim effective is another.
I am going to walk The Mile in Dover, and we'll see if the Police will have to drive me out under escort.
I strongly doubt it!
The lines have been drawn and the associations have been made.
So now we will see what the People of Dover think!

I dread to think what the people of Dover will think as they struggle to follow and understand this thread.

Just to divert this weird thread back to the original heading re.UKIP.
Norfolk voters decided to deliver a hung Council.
Conservative 40
UKIP 15 [main opposition]
Labour 14
LibDem 10
Green 4
IND. 1
The new Council Leader is Labour and UKIP are taking a back seat according to their spokesman.
Debate!!

ludicrous situation - norfolk is mainly rural, hence the blue strongholds outside of norwich.
rather like the situation with our cobbled together coalition where the tail wags the dog.

Silly situation in Norfolk- the obvious alliance was Con + UKIP but now we have a situation where the dog has five tails, all wagging it in different directions. There but for the Grace of God, Eh,
