Yes I did say that, but the blues also said they would not cut the police,Army, etc they have lets us down, just like the reds in the pass, and I was hoping to hang up hat and let them get on with it,its not only about the big Uk thing with banks and MPS ETC But the local issue and again we have seen Dover let down,I am sorry to talk like this but it is true and again it is the blues in power, its not all of their making true, but they are the captain of the ship and in Dover they have had that power for many years,,and they have just gone ahead not taking any notice of what the Dover public have been saying.like Folkestone rd, Whitfield, they have failed time and time again of the rebuild of Dover yet they have still been voted in same old faces. But the reds are the same to.

And the ship has got holes in it and big ones at that, and what do they do just A patch here and there and there is only so many times that can be done before the ship goes down and that is what happing right now.

Vic, just a little information here:
An independent analyst - haven't got the name or news-paper in memory right now - noted recently that UKIP does appeal to many people on account of the EU in/out referendum they stand for, but that most people in Britain today are more concerned about the economy, and for this reason, UKIP would be advised to present some policies on economic issues in order to attract support.
So this may be some good advice to UKIP.
This is my view too, that any party today attempting to attract mass support, must have something very original on the table to improve the economy and make it a fair place where each and every one of us has the right to take part in a prosperous economy.
It's not enough to just leave the EU.
As you may have realised on various threads, I support any party in Britain that makes a good decision and stands for it. If I see any party trying to do the right thing even on one issue, I'll stand up and support them on that issue.
Ed Miliband recently stated that "wisdom is not with any one party", when justifying his text conversations with Vince Cable. A wise sentence!

a very interesting read, a point well made about the imf imposing austerity programmes in the past and now the medicine is being dished out by national goverments in the eyes of most people who are suffering.
it will not calm down in greece, spain and portugal, a temporary lid can be put on things but that is all.

The government today admitted making yet another terrible mistake in awarding the West Coast rail franchise to First Group
taking the contract away from ``Virgin``
This mistake will cost the ``tax payers``at least £ 40 million but the tax bill will be higher due to the other three Franchise
contracts yet to be placed have been postponed.....we now need to know how much the tax payers have had to pay for the
many, many other ``U`` turns this government has made in the last two years.........
It is total incompetence of this governments many, many ill-conceived policies.
Is this a way to run a .............

This points to a failure by successive transport ministers of both parties to control their department. Ministers should, quite properly, keep their distance from such negotiations and trust their civil servants to follow correct procedures. But it's very easy for the officers to impose their own agenda on proceedings, impeding the implementation of the policies of their political masters. Just like an officer-led council, actually.

# 328....the bill is expected to reach £ 300 million.....
Cameron`s fall from grace......with Harold Wilson it was the devaluation of the pound....with John Major the exit from the ERM
mechanism.....Tony Blair Iraq......with Cameron it is a multitude of events...Osborne`s disastrous budget.....Conservative
Party Treasurer offering the rich access to the Tory policy making machine....unstable parliamentary Party....the many ill-
conceived policies leading to the many ``U`` turns....relations with the Press at an all time low ...editors of the Tory Press
refusing to take his telephone calls.
The only way is down......PM`s never recover when such a slide has begun...............

Tony Blair went out on a high at a time of his own choosing and only really fell from grace after his departure. Broon never had a period of grace to fall from......going further back, Heath was finished off by the unions and Uncle Jim Callaghan was merely a caretaker in a job he never really wanted. Thatcher was stabbed in the front by her friends.
Wilson's nemesis was not really the devaluation, that was in 1967 and he came back as PM later on, only resigning in 1976 when he realised he was suffering from the beginnings of dementia.
John Smith would have made a good PM but didn't have what it took to get elected.

Business Chiefs ; We are losing faith in the Tories.....`we did that a long time ago`...finally with the
Business sector the `penny drops`.
The Tory Party Conference will promote the theme of ``Green Shoots``....but the previously
ardent supporters of Ossie have lost their trust in his handling ( or not ) of the Economy.
The Tory propaganda of green shoots is shot down by 77 % of Business Leaders who do not detect
any signs of them.
The momentum of lack of trust / belief and growing incompetence of the government is increasing at
a rapid pace.

Cameron says No plan `B`..........IMF says Britain will miss their deficit targets next year and
that they risk permanent damage to our economy and growth is needed to get the deficit down.
With no growth for two years the IMF forecast is minus 0.4 % for this year....................

Shares for loss of rights won`t work.
Lawyers predict litigation rather than liberty will result from Osborne scheme....the rabbit out of the hat,may have cheered
the party faithful but the plan is likely to ensnare British business in more litigation than it eradicates....another ill-conceived
policy...it is practically impossible to implement.
