took these at about 11 a.m. today, traditionally the second busiest shopping day of the week.
weather cloudy but dry, considering we have less empty units than most a pretty dire footfall.

Oddly enough we walked down at about 9am and 2pm and remarked how busy it was!

#5 by Watty. I walked past St. Mary's church yesterday afternoon about 1 pm and there were three green plastic bags outside. I walked past again about three hours later and the seagulls had been at 'em, litter strewn everywhere. I don't know who they belonged to and who put them there.
I met Howard in the library at this time, I don't know if he noticed them or not.

Thanks Alec.
Teach me to post an encouraging comment.
At least I have confidence the operatives who patrol & look after the precincts were doing their job well.
As for some of the public & wildlife!!

the town centre itself is well served by the cleaning operatives, not so sure about some of the people that visit the town centre.

#13. I wasn't finding fault Watty, just pointing out what a difference a day makes.
As Howard says the road sweepers do a good job in the town centre, it is a thankless task cleaning up after some of the reprobates that we have roaming around.

Thanks Alec, I was being ironic.
No offence taken.

I believe that Town Centres (especially ours) can have a strong future if managed properly, but without that management in place, nothing substantial will be achieved.
