05:4483169Goodness, are you up at this time as well, Alan? Hello to you!
I got woken up at half past one by a trio of drunken pains going noisily past my window. Throwing snowballs at cars too. I've been up ever since - it's mostannoying, as I'm not se well at the moment, and had just got off to sleep. (Yes, I'm having a moan!

)
Still, on the bright side, it's meant I've been able to get on with a few things on the DWMP (sniffing and honking all over the keybaord! I blame my brother. He's had a cold too, and then went and 'phoned me up a couple of days ago ....

)
Our snow situation is still the same up here. Just enough to be pretty, not enough to cause any problems. It's amazing how much of the garden you can see at night, when the snow's there.

08:4283173Yes indeed Keef, another fien job by Phil there. Very well done. The music is so familiar to me yet I cant quite place a name to it, in fact I have it in my near abandoned collection somewhere...is it Mozart?
Well done Phil.
Alan Im glad you posted that story on the frontpage too. I have broken it into paragraphs on there and have tried to draw attention to it. Its an exceptional post. Already Councillor Roger Walkden has acted on it. Well done for letting us know your plight, but very sorry you are all having such a bad time up there.

09:5783180I seem to recall that Wendy Craig was the Patron of Radio Viking in Margate.
That's called lateral thinking chaps.

10:4783189Thankyou Alan for an excellent post.
I hope this gets seen by all at County Hall Maidstone so they realise the plight of those who are trapped by the snow and ice.
I have copied the above from the front page as I think Alan's post is one of the best I have seen concerning the lack of snow clearing. I have not been out of the house since the cold spell started because of the treacherous state out there and I live in the middle of town. I am a bit unsteady on my feet at times so have been very lucky having my daughter and grandson getting my prescription and shopping.
SOME ARE NOT AS LUCKY, sorry for shouting but I feel strongly that the elderly and disabled have an awful time when snow and ice arrives.
