Quiz night in the Railway Belle (Pickwicks) is good fun; I've been to a few with the missus. Well, I was told it was a handicap event and I thought she fitted the bill.
For the most part Anne they are a friendly lot although some take the thing quite seriously. I wonder about folks sometimes.
I usually just volunteer to write the answers down, it seems to be a job others don't like. It's great because I don't need to know the answers as everyone is keen to tell me them. Sounds good thanks Sid.
Phil is very busy with the 8 legged things winding me up with them

I have been checking the Ramada website and have phoned them and am very disappointed to hear that the disco nights have been cancelled due to not enough enquiries. I have asked them to reconsider I am waiting for more information so watch this space.
Please enquire at the Ramada if interested as it would be a great place for singles.

the quiz night at the Railway Bell was great fun last night and there were so many people there, some had to have tables outside which was fine as it was warm. There were loads of singles either joining tables or forming their own tables. Pity there was not much chance until the end for much mingling.
Great night for singles,,so nice to see so many.
I will be looking for more ideas ..but others can you join and write some ideas??

their comedy nights are also good at the Ramada Anne but not so great for singles, but good just to get out..
I was crying with laughter and it actually hurt in the end..
I haven't written for a while simply because even though I have searched I can't find anything else for singles except quiz nights. The Folk Week in Broadstairs starts today which is great for singles.. but how we recognise other Dovorians?
The weather will stay better over there today.. I cant go but should be there the rest of the week. The public transport will be challenging though as I cant drive yet after an operation.
Anne are you still man hunting????
why ??
I would of thought by now the men on here would of put you off

are they trying to??
We're very trying Anne. Haven't you noticed?

hi no I think most seem friendly.. I was a bit concerned about the p taking shingles club(nasty).
I am still single and was supposed to be on a date last Tues but the man let me down. He is local but keeps making excuses about meeting. My son and his friend think he must be married so I am rather fed up about that.
I went to the Brodstairs Folk Week last night. It has not really started but had an amazing meal at Prezzo.
I see that the Boars Head,Park Inn and 3 Cups have live music tonight. I cant get about due to an operation so my ex ex partner is coming to drive me about..and round the bend.
comments about the would be date welcome...is he married?

The Louis Armstrong always has jazz on a Sunday night Anne - usually trad jazz but not always. They are a friendly bunch in there, you might enjoy it!
thanks.. I love it in there and did not know it was still going for live music. One night I was watching my friend in Hey Rudi and a guy tapped me on the arm.. I thought he was going to offer me drugs but he just said" would you like a crisp love".. really friendly

Of course "would you like a crisp" is Dover code for "I think you are really attractive and I would like to get to know you but my girlfriend/partner would kill me so have a crisp instead".
Anne why not have a word with Jeanette in the White Horse or Mandy in the Park Inn and see about organising a singles night, or maybe a 'ladies excuse-me' where the girls get to ask the blokes a question? There are a lot of single people out there and you may just start something for a lot of people. Just an idea.
Politics, it seems to me, for years, or all too long, has been concerned with right or left instead of right or wrong.

Anne I never meant any harm by the 'shingles club', it was just a play on words of the singles club thread title.
Good luck with meeting a lovely fella. I find they are like buses, you never find one when you want one but 3 come along at once when you don't!
Anne, to answer your question; his tactics make me think he is married too. Don't waste your time/life being mucked about, you are his loss, he isn't yours. Move on girl. Good luck.

Yeah he sounds married like Sid said move on

I went to the 3 cups last night but unfortunately the parking is a problem and we didn't stay. I looked and listened and there didn't seem to be any music on and there were hardly any people in there.
Maybe it was too early at 8.50 does anyone know???
