My road has just been sweeped.
If you knew what I know,we would both be in trouble!

Well the start would be to get a road sweeper lol
Well that sounds like a good option Peter, presume it must be enforced? we see when re tarmacing is done, and how car drivers having been told well in advance still leave there cars.

Peter, that would be a great idea but to much to much trouble for DDC to organise.
Keith, I am sure the road sweeper would be happy to occasionally drive down the middle of your road but it would be as much of a waste of our council tax money as it is when he drives up and down mine.

In some other countries, property owners/occupants are legally responsible for keeping the street clean outside their front door. It also applies to clearing snow and ice. Example: Germany.
In LA people obey the rules because illegally parked cars are not given tickets but craned onto the back of a lorry and taken to the police pound. All cars parked where they shouldn't be are always taken away before the sweepers come through.

I have now done what I said I would do phone up the rubbish dept at D.D,C the young lady on the other end was very helpfull and I have now a case number and was told THERE would be a follow up phone call.So we now wait and see what happens, as I said on the phone,I do not want to see anyone lose their job but the person should be told to be more carfully when going around doing his job. Thank you.
