Just been to visit Roger Walkden in the K&C where he is laid up in Mount Ward with pneumonia and pleurisy.
He's not very well but is in good spirits. Visitors welcome if anyone is passing by.

Heavens above, poor Roger! This is a real shock - he was so bouncy and well last time we saw him.

All power to your elbow Roger. I have learned a deal about this recently, steady as you go.
All the very best for your return to health.

I have read all your good wishes out to Roger in hospital and he was very moved by them. We both thank you very much. Peter and Kathryn, he was very pleased to see you both this afternoon, thank you for calling in. He is progressing very slowly and hopes to be home as soon as they will let him free. Thanks to everyone once again, and to Vic for his kind offer of help. He would love to see anyone who can spare the time.
Jean.
