Over the next few weeks will see me packing in some of the committees Etc I am on.I love doing my garden and wish to spend more time in it and going round to see our familys, I have said this before but it will happen this time, also my leg is still going to take time to get better. But over the years I have loved doing it all and meeting lots of good folk, and hard working ones to and they do it all for free, and we the public of Dover owe them alot,we have great events in the Town and Parishs all the year round. But there is a time to call it aday and for me that time is soon, but for the very last time I will be doing the boxing day dip if my leg will let me.I have had some great backup from the lady in my life Lesley always at my side helping out and supporting me in what I have done, which in my eyes has not been much.

How about this one as well Vic.
"The party's over, it's time to call it a day,
They've burst your pretty balloon and taken the moon away.
It's time to wind up the masquerade."
Good luck in your partial retirement and take care of the leg.

Throw them all in and volunteer when you want to volunteer rather than be expected by people to do things...
(I have taken a year off the Western Heights and although I will still be involved it will take the pressure off of me for a but)
Been nice knowing you :)

I think it's fair to say i have given you this advice for some time.
should it happen it will be good for you, and you can as others saaid volunteer as and when you want.
I found getting out of politics i could do what i wanted, when i wanted
and i feel all the better for it

I'm looking into starting some farming this year, in Kent the Garden. Since I got some full-time contracts in painting and decorating, I feel really happy, can work more, and want to work even more!
I've also increased my online writing activities, and couldn't be happier!
Vic, make sure you give your personal health top priority. As others have said here, you could do voluntary work, and internet helps keep in contact with others, including voluntary commitments, without having to move around continuously.

Good luck in your retirement Vic, you should have realised before the election it was too much for you, how many seats did you stand for, now look at the expense to your loyal followers, to hold all these elections again, to replace you

It's a good idea that you are putting your health first, Vic.
Head office will no doubt be expecting a formal letter from you to state your decision officially.
They contacted me asking me to be involved in local promotion of the Party.
I think they would like to go ahead pretty quickly with it.
