I note that this thread which I started in 2020 is titled 'One thousand one hundred and eighty five last Thursday!'
FWIW there were one thousand and ninety eight yesterday!

'One-in, one-out' chaos as Eritrean man, 25, who claimed he will be 'destitute' if sent back to France will not be deported after winning High Court bid!
I wonder if we'll end up with one-in before we get one-out!

Idea for a sitcom: A famous human rights lawyer accidentally becomes prime minister and is constantly thwarted by human rights laws.

and this well worn path belongs to the Captain even though it has possibly killed most interest recently in this once wonderful group.

How has he killed any interest by posting on a subject that once again is of great concern to many people. Its not a requirement of law that you have to read any of it if its not of interest to you.As for Mr matcham who once said he wouldnt post again now trying to tell Mr Haddock what to do,once again if you dont like it then dont read it.Dont recall anyone telling you to"give a rest"when you posted extracts of your life story.Free speech, freedom of choice!

Andy B.. If this subject (and others) is so interesting why do you and other members not reply to any of his points or posts. I just wish we did not have so many deserving or not people having to risk their lives to come to this country.
BTW. I read some but not all, at my age life is to short to waste energy on something I have no control over.
