The government distributed £15m in 2023 to councils to boost the recruitment of foreign care staff. Then, taxpayer-funded training material had to be created because foreign care staff faced 'challenges' with everyday tasks such as cooking and how to make tea.
If migrant workers need this level of basic training, they shouldn’t have been imported and recruited in the first place?

Strange, but true.
The charity "Migrant Help" has had £153,592,000 (!!!) in taxpayer funding between 2020-24.
Dig deeper taxpayers!

What the figures actually mean:-
45,553 migrants have been returned (not "removed or deported") under Labour last year.
-34% were verified returns (where the Home Office does not realise until later that a migrant has left).
-26% were assisted returns (paid to leave)
-25% were deportations
-14% were controlled returns (left voluntarily)

According to Labour’s own analysis, just 0.8% of those benefitting from lifting the 2 child benefit cap are children of British workers.
99% of those families are either not in work or not British.

Birmingham’s questionable multimillion pound overseas doctors training scheme .
Trust’s £40.5m overseas doctors training scheme is axed after audit raises red flags!
https://www.bmj.com/content/392/bmj.s39
(Basically Birmingham NHS Trust paid £40.5m to a local company registered at a residential address, and run by a local solicitor, to funnel money to a Pakistani doctor training scheme without a contract and they never received a single invoice)"The world is still a weird place, despite my efforts to make clear and perfect sense of it".

The UAE announces it will cuts funds for citizens who want to study in the UK out of fear of Emirati students being radicalized by Muslim Brotherhood Islamists on British campuses!
So an officially Muslim, Arab state will not send its kids to the UK because it is worried we will turn them into Islamic terrorists.
You really couldn't make it up!

Keyboard dirty? Monitor could do with a damp cloth?
The Border Force has just signed off £220,000 to clean IT equipment!
Keir Starmer said he would smash the gangs… Instead, the border force is paying tech companies to clean IT Equipment.
(I can remember all the table tops being replaced (the frames were metal) in an Immigration Office in Kent, not because they were not working (no typewriters fell through them) but because if the money was not spent 'this' year the Home Office would reduce our budget, and we might actually need something 'next' year!)
