If the 6,000 houses go ahead, that could mean about 30,000 more residents.
If these have children, and Dover's population also have children, then the next generation will need two new building areas and not one!
So in 27 years time, it would be 12,000 houses.
In the meantime, who knows how many people could have emigrated to Britain. So it could actually be 24,000 houses in 27 years time.
Then comes the third generation, and in 37 years time, how many houses then?
It pays off to look ahead and do some arithmetics!
