Hope someone reminds them that Kent is riddled with holes caused by the mining industry, most homes in the area carry a warning relating to "mine working".
Also the issue of the Folkestone earthquake. Are we insured against fracking damage?

Getting involved in your community
"An event to help people find out about volunteering is being held at Dover Discovery Centre on Tuesday 4 June from 10am to 1pm.
The event is being organised by Dover Gateway as part of Volunteering Week, to promote volunteering and encourage awareness of opportunities. This includes looking at how you can get involved in your community, and how volunteering can help people to develop new talents and self confidence, and even gain new skills for employment.
A range of partners will be on hand with advice and information, including Disability Drop in Centre, Health Trainers, Kent Supported Employment, and TBG Learning.
Dover Gateway is located on Castle Street, Dover. Kent County Council and Dover District Council joined up to launch the Gateway office, providing increased services for residents, including a whole range of voluntary and community support services."

Get Kent Reading...
"More than 2,800 Kent and Medway 11-year-olds left primary school last year unable to read to the required standard, a result worse than in some of the poorest parts of London.
That's why we've launched Get Kent Reading, a campaign hoping to increase the number of vital volunteer readers who provide much-needed practical help for youngsters in school"
http://www.kentonline.co.uk/kentonline/features/get_kent_reading.aspxIgnorance is bliss, bliss is happiness, I am happy...to draw your attention to the possible connectivity in the foregoing.

Australian batsman David Warner suspended for 'unprovoked physical attack' on England's Joe Root in
Birmingham bar The Walkabout
The incident occurred in a nightclub after Australia's defeat to England in the Champions Trophy
Batsman David Warner looks set to be sent home after he "initiated an unprovoked physical attack on a
member of the England team", in events that have sent the Australian cricket team into crisis.
The England 'member' in question is understood to be Joe Root.
The opening batsman was left out of Australia's Champions Trophy clash with New Zealand today pending
an investigation and is almost certain to be sent home.
The incident occurred in Australian themed nightclub The Walkabout in Birmingham city centre.
The attack, described as "alcohol fuelled", is reported to have taken place in the early hours of the
morning after Australia's Champions Trophy defeat to England. Warner is said to have flashed a
"glancing blow" which struck Root on the chin.
Widespread reports suggest Root was wearing a fake wig, which he then turned around to use as a beard
, to which Warner took offence. The Australian reportedly grabbed the hairpiece without asking to which
Root asked: "What did you do that for?" It was at this point that Warner is said to have lashed out.
Warner was the reportedly pulled away by his Australia team-mates and the England players who were
in attendance, which included Stuart Broad and Chris Woakes.

i do wonder why a few england players decided to enter an australian club in the early hours of the morning.
anyway australians by nature hate anyone feeling sorry for them, having seen their performances in recent ashes series i have to say with absolutely no sincerity my heart went out to them.

'I only use my TV as a lamp'...and other excuses for not paying your licence fee
Catalogue of excuses to feature in a YouTube video encourage people not to evade the
annual TV licence fee
A homeowner tried to avoid paying their TV licence fee by claiming they merely used the glow
from the set as a lamp to help them read.
Another said they did not think they needed a licence because their pet corgi was said to be
related to one of the Queen's dogs.
These were two of a catalogue of excuses to feature in a YouTube video encourage people not to
evade the annual TV license fee.
Officials from TV Licensing will reveal the responses today amid drive to encourage more people
to pay their license fees,
which is thought to lose the Corporation more than £190m each year, according to recent figures.

Dear Friends,
I just signed the petition "Freedom Pass for ages 16 - 19" and wanted to ask if you could add you
name too.
This campaign means a lot to me and the more support we can get behind it, the better chance
we have of succeeding. You can read more and sign the petition here:

Wendy and I went to the Cinema yesterday.First time in 46 years. In those days we sat in the back row
the 2 and 9`s but didn`t see much of the films.......we saw this one.....and can recommend it highly...
`The Audience`.....Helen Mirren as the Queen and her Tuesday evening meetings with her 12 Prime Ministers.
Harold Wilson was her favorite.Very moving scene when he told her he had Dementia.
As he left her she said she and Phillip would be very pleased to have dinner at No 10 with him and Mary before he
retired.....only Churchill had been given that honour before.

Public school party leaves £2m Hampstead home 'trashed'
Pupils from some of North London's most prestigious schools clash with police after an
end-of-term 'sleepover' spirals out of control
An end-of-term party for public school students went badly awry when gate-crashing, drug-taking
and violence left a £2 million home trashed and three teenagers arrested in the street.
Students from some of North London's most expensive and prestigious schools rented a house in
Frognal, Hampstead for one night at a cost of £750. They paid up front in cash, and said they
wanted to host a small gathering for up to 30 people.
The owner of the house said she returned the following day to find her house ruined, as well
as a large number of canisters of the "laughing gas" drug and a small plastic bag filled with white powder.
