normally at around this time of year the incumbent mayor is taken quietly round the back of the town council offices and shot, then after much bickering a new one is installed.
have i missed it this year?

Details here, Howard. I hope it doesn't clash with Eastenders.

I just realised this page is an old one. It's on May 24 this year. Why don't they update their website?

May 24th Howard. I understand the decision won't be made until the evening before.

Ronnie's still working hard Howard, so she won't be shot - not yet anyway.
I haven't heard any speculation about who it might be and won't be invited this year as I turned down last year's invite because Jean wasn't invited too (both of us had always been invited in previous years. Many other couples attended though. Not to worry - we're not going to.

I think howard the parties look into the forum and often see you drift to the right maybe thats why your invite never arrives

I think Howard would make an excellent Mayor. If a town is to have a figure-head it could always do better than to look to Party affiliation as the deciding factor.

As was witnessed with the 'Plaque Presentation' Howard. You take to the the whole thing as a duck to water.
So what, if the chains must be shortened so as to not rattle off your knees. A small price to pay. I say.
