Deputy Govenor of Bank of England Paul Tucker `Shops` Osborne.
Osbornes outrageous use of short term /provocative propaganda comes unstuck yet again.
Paul Tucker repeated for the select committee ``substitutes``that Labour ministers and Ed Balls
did not get involved with `Libor` rates.
There is a general call for him to make a public apology.Osborne is not the type of person
who can apologies it is `beneath` him.Could be a case of Narcistic Personality Disorder.
# 94.thanks for response, can we take that as an opinion or as a `spokesperson`?

Neither. It is fact. Commercial banks do retail and small corporate lending. Investment banks are primarily intermediaries in much larger transactions and are mostly involved in equity deals, not debt.

Funny Reg how you pick what to you seem to be tiny holes in what people say but never respond to the massive gulfs picked in what you say.

doesn't that say it all?

No one really has pinned down what he said that requires an apology. That pond-life Balls hysteria over the fact that he has questions to answer is no reason. What is he so worried about is the big question that needs to be answered?

You do not seem to recognise it yourself Keith as you have not really said why an apology should be made for saying the responsible Minister at the time has questions to answer given the allegations made about pressure placed on Barclays (not the red herring, the Bank of England) by people close to Brown.

Keith - look...
I have said he should not apologise.
I reproduced on the forum the relevant paragraphs of the 'offending' article
I have demonstrated the red herring that was the evidence of Tucker by reference to that article
I have given reasons why Balls has questions to answer
What have you produced to counter these points - nothing at all, zilch
I have no idea why that person said what he or she said, perhaps it is just one of these weak kneed people who dislikes straight talking.
Given what I have produced it is up to you to justify what you say and counter the points I made one by one backed up with evidence of your own. Can you add substance to what you are saying, no. It is up to you to make a case, you have not made one.

His agent apologized on his behalf ......because his personality disorder would not permit
him to do the decent thing himself.
You must be the only person in the UK defending this misfit......

Not sure if he had the guts .........but sure as Osborne`s agent he would only do it with
Osborne`s approval.....otherwise he will be looking for another job....

Once again no-one actually pinpoints what should be apologised about. Nothing tangible has been said at all.
I am absolutely certain that if the roles were reversed and Balls said this about Osborne the Labour supporting mafia above would be saying the opposite. At least I do not blindly support Osborne and I, myself, have criticised him when needed but in this case about the totally odious Balls he is right.

barry
would you like someone to say in public that you had questions to be asked about without anything else added?
