Howard and Keith,
quite frankly, no developer would give out the money to maintain the Western Heights Scheduled National Monument, which stretches miles: they wouldn't give the money to keep it maintained, guarded (against vandalism) and up to standard over the next 200 years, contrary to what Paul keeps stating.
IF a developer gave SOME money for Western Heights, it would possibly be enough just for a small area and some very limited works, and after 5 years a new development project for hundreds more houses would be required to get the next funding.
Within 50 years, there would need be 20,000 houses on W.H. to keep it permanently funded the way Paul suggests through developers.
And even that would be over a 50 year period, not 200 years as Paul reckons.
Because there is no dosh for these things, we should rather forget the military structures on Western Heights and just keep to the natural beauty of the area.
Sorry Paul, but Howard and Keith have explained it to you clearly: their is no money even for gardening, let alone very expensive masonry repairs to the tune of many tens of millions.
Tried to tell you this all along.
