Funny i thought religion had a lot to do with the royal family the queen being quite prominent in one religion.
Whilst of course I have views on religion not sure alexanders grasped it lol
And yes jan isn't it funny how threads can change so much from the original start

"This should make adults feel humiliated, taking away our freedom of speech in what we would perceive to be a free Society!
Making us feel like silly naughty children in the classroom who have had their mouth gagged and been sent to the wall!
What a silly, arrogant, self-imposing Establishment is this???
This is not a free Society! THIS IS TYRANNY!
Our comments have been DELETED by the Establishment!"
Well, Alex, I admire your skilful use of allegorical writing to dress up your beefs as an attack on the Royal Family, but as soon as our moderators see through it, you'll be for the high jump!

The reason why I chose this thread was owing to it's being about Christmas, Peter.
On Sky News. comments are not published unless they first get editorial approval.
People often comment on other readers' comments there, and small conversations start in a civil manner. A reader has a chance to explain their view.
My comment on that article had just been published, I saw it. A few hours later the page was ripped down.
It is doubtful the editor decided this, as the comments were up and running, approved.
I assume someone phoned in and gave an order from high.
It was the Establishment.
And yet, people who are heads of everything, and patrons of charities with flares of trumpets and flashes of cameras, then trying to become the impersonification of Christmas, reduced to ripping down public comments' pages at Christmas, because someone - or many people - disagree, is no good for our Freedom.

Keith, Jesus was born as King, to the royal family of David.
I think Sky News ripped down the comments page on a note to that effect from me

Alex I think you may be suffering from an attack of double standards. Surely one royal family is much the same as another?

Perhaps I play a little safe with my comments- but what dreadful things did all these folks write to get removed! I've previously seen offerings from a number of those named I I can't really recall anything other than anything pretty benign. I guess the postings in question must have been removed before I read 'em!
