Thanks again for that Brian, it sounds as though our Vic is going through the mill, but as Howard says he is a fighter and will win through.

Just had this latest email in from Andy Cooper...things arent too good with Vic. My best wishes to you Vic for a recovery as soon as poss.
Many thanks to Andy once again for keeping us up to speed with the following....
* *
"Just to keep you all in the picture, Vic rang me this morning. He has to go back into theatre today for further surgery: the knee has become badly infected and I understand that there was a noticeable smell of putrefaction, which is why the need for surgery became urgent. He's been told that he will be in hospital for approximately two more weeks.
I am worried by this latest turn of events - it seems that there is a significant risk of Vic losing his leg, and my prayers are with him at what must be a dark time for him. I shall be going over to see him on Thursday afternoon; if anyone would like to come along to visit but doesn't have a car of their own, just give me a ring and they will be welcome to get a lift. My mobile number is 07740 - 287155"

Just thought I'd add this picture of Vic enjoying a laugh in Blakes a few months back. He was making an effort to be in jolly spirits even though his leg was obviously giving him trouble...Vic on the right...
Keep going Vic

What bad luck.
If you get to read this Vic, keep the positive thoughts going they can work wonders.

We have a big Get Well card at Blakes for everyone to come and sign and express their wishes for a quick recovery. We would like as many forumites and other friends/political rivals etc. to come and sign it before the weekend.

Could someone add my best wishes to the card please. As much as Vic and I disagree and argue on the DF there is never any malice. I wish him a very speedy recovery.
