It appears an Essex councillor named Luke Mackenzie who rightly states that his views are his own - not sure who else would want them - has tweeted "I hear there are a bunch of unwashed people at Oxford and Regent Street, if you don't like capitalism move to North Korea" referring to a group of disabled people in wheelchairs exercising their right to peaceful protest in our democracy. Your views would be welcome.

Sounds like the typical Conservative toss-up: Capitalism or Democracy.

Apart from anything else at all...telling anyone to "move to North Korea if they dont like capitalism" is very low grade intellect anyway and totally totally unoriginal. This is more a reflection on the guy that wrote it, as he is clearly not up to much. But the whole thing referencing people in wheelchairs is abysmal.
It is truly amazing how Twitter catches out so many. Give someone the opportunity to put their foot in their gob in an international scale and some will surely take it. Very often Twitter mirrors what people really think like never before.

Anyone involved in big-time publicity should be careful what they post on social media, it can bring their career to an abrupt end...

There is a six letter word beginning with W that sums up such a stupid remark, what a stupid young man.

I try to be neutral and polite but it is hard and getting even more difficult at times.

Is it just me or does anyone else fail to see what the problem is with tweets? I'm taking sides on the issue he highlights it's just that I cannot see any law broken or really anything particularly controversial in his remarks.
Someone please enlighten me.
I suppose referring to wheelchair users simply protesting as is their right in a corporate sort of way as "the unwashed" qualifies as discourteous.......and politically inept
