Our 40 gallon waterbutt is fed from a single sloping roof above a 6x10 outhouse. It's gone from empty to full - coo!

Looking at the empty plant trays in my garden, we must have had around 20mm of rain last night (just under an inch for those who don't do metric!)

The depth of water in my washing up bowl was an inch and a half in old money.

Thoughtful though our mayor of Belgrave road
even leaves a bowl of water outside his front door for passing dogs (the animal kind lol)

Gets kicked around a bit Keith and muck gets into it(dogs don't normally have great table manners) so have to clean and refill regularly.
Rain forecast for the next two days but after set fair with sunny intervals and temperatures in the pleasant low 20s.

The Met Office are predicting further sunny weather and above temperatures into October, our seaside towns must be loving it.

Good to see all that rain yesterday and the grass is already coming back to life but the downside is the multitude of slugs suddenly appearing.
