Are you all enjoying this very hot weather?
Is it affecting your life style and routine?
Do you do any more, or less, in this Summer weather?
How do you cope and any tips for keeping cool?
Thank you.

No
No
Read more, play more games and avoid sport on tv
Pull curtains to reduce the sun rays, drink plenty of cold water.

Having lived and worked in London most of my life I find the weather we have been getting very pleasant with the sea breeze doing its bit. As far as I know the temperature here has not gone above 23 c which is about 70 in old money although I wouldn't like to be working in a stuffy office at this time.

It doesn't meet my definition of a heatwave, close to the coast, as the wind is knocking several degrees off the temperature enjoyed a little further inland. Yesterday excepted.

2weeks early hours of tomorrow stopped us cutting grass that day and stayed muggy until lunchtime, that was the first for about 10 days.

The heat got to me over the weekend so it must have been very hot, even the birds held off feeding until early evening for the most part. No rain forecast over the next week or so.

Apparently we've had 49 consecutive days of sunshine. I'm loving it, long may it continue.

I am a light sleeper so absolutely hate these hot nights.
Having sweet F A to do now I am quite happy to sit in the sun for a while reading prior to seeking the cool of the shade. I just want some very badly needed rain for my poor plants.
The trouble at the moment is that this is on hold as we have a rather young sea gull in the garden and another in the gutter with parents ready to dive bomb.

As someone who gets endlessly bitten by insects during the summer I hope never to encounter a horsefly.

Just dawned on me that I haven't seen a single wasp this year, and as one that gets stung by them I'm not complaining and they are one specie I would like to see endangered.
