Marriage is between man and woman.
It cannot be otherwise. The idea of changing the meaning of the vocabulary to fit political party campaigns is absurd.
Here is an explanation on the vocabulary side:
Marriage derives from French MARIAGE, which in turn derives from Latin.
The original Latin word MARITARE, meaning to marry, introduced the nouns: MARITO and MARITA, meaning husband and wife.
Marito is masculine, marita is feminine.
Nouns referring to persons refer to either masculine or feminine persons.
Only politics in its most absurd form could attempt to legislate in contradiction to established vocabulary meaning.
A husband can only be masculine, a wife can only be feminine.
Anything else has nothing to do with marriage!
Now back to politics
