Bern, there has to be a revenue coming into Dover in order to carry out fantastic projects, such as a port toll.
Otherwise I couldn't see where the money would come from at this present stage, with so many spending cuts going on.

That revenue will come from either the Peoples Port or DHB as both have committed to putting money into Dover; it's how that money will be spent that is the greatest concern, you can bet your life that none will be on a salary for someone to "look after" the Town.
Bern, I'll send the petition round to all those on my email address groups, asking for them to pass it on as well.

thought the petition would have had a lot more signatures by now.
started off lively, then seems to have hit the buffers.
Indeed - come on chaps - this isn't a petition asking for specific money or slagging anyone off - it is saying We Love Dover and are letting you know. It is saying we can make a difference. Let's spread the word!!!
Signed up. Great idea Bern.
Thanks Diana. Every signature counts. It seems like a polite way to apply a bit of pressure!

When I last looked only about half the forum members had voted going by the numbers, very disappointing.

I try to be neutral and polite but it is hard and getting even more difficult at times.

Bern
can you explain a bit more what this is about? I am not sure who sees the petition or how it will impact on decision makers etc. I may be missing the blindingly obvious here!
Thanks.

kent online brought it to the fore, hopefully the petition will grow to such a size that pressure is put on the decision makers to start work on improving the basic look of the town.
