There must be some young good footballers local out there and they would love to have a try at playing for a team like Dover. Most of the Dover team do not live near Dover so they train local to their own homes but they need to train more as a team. Well that is what I think anyway. And all matchs are away to them even at Dover.

Not yet Howard, one match does not make a season but I hope he proves me wrong. Still a good win today and a couple more may see Vic back at Crabble you never know.
Vic do you mean the Chairman walked out on the game at Sutton or the last home game?. Only he would have had a job walking out of the last home game as he was not there, he was at a wedding along with a number of the club directors and if he did it at Sutton Vic he would not be following you as you were not there and he would not be saying "I'm not going any more".
The most likely reason for him being upset at Sutton apart from the way we played would have been the refs decision in the sending off.
They do train all together as a team but they train in Mid Kent to save traveling costs and of course the time from getting away from their day jobs. There are some local lads in the squad and I am sure there would be more if they were available Unlike other clubs who are surrounded by big clubs we have something called the English Channel which cuts our catchment area and our nearest big club is Gillingham so our catchment area is some what reduced. I do know the club have looked to French players but they want big money to play for us.
Anyway onward and upward.

Dover must win again this week if they do we will see the public returning but only a few but even that is better then none 90% of it is down to cost the public will spend out if they play good football but if they do not then they will not that goes for myself as well. As a OAP finding the cash is hard because I am thinking "AH that £15 could pay a bill off or run the car for a week" but if they play good football and we go home happy that we have seen a good match then it has been worth it.

They are at home Saturday as you know I do hope that they have a good win they need to have one at home,as for myself if the weather is fair then I might turn out to see them I would think there could be up to 800 supporters going.

Well Dover won, sorry but I did not go ,once I go out into the garden I forget about time, anyway I got a report about the match and also read the one on the forum.Dover won and that is good, but I was told I did not miss much and that it was a very poor match, with the supporters still staying away Dover still need to up their way of playing to win in the next round of the FA cup the team they are playing is alot better then the one played last Saturday but I will turn out for that one I would think there will be up of 800 to see the match and if Dover win that one then we will see alot more supporters back and the club geting much needed funds.

Sorry to hear that Dover is still not playing well even with geting to the next round of the FA cup, that means I will still not go because of the cost of watching them, there is alot that feel the same way so not only me,just look how the supporters have droped away now down to 500 or less.I do not know what can be done to get the team back to where they was a few years back but some thing has to be done.

Unbeaten in six games, one game away from the first round proper of the FA Cup, all depends how you spin it Vic. The football on offer is dire and not easy on the eye at all but I agree there is an element in the falling crowds that a lot of people just cannot afford to go any more or have to be selective on choosing a game they can go to. Crowds are falling Nationwide and we are still the highest supported team in our division.

Mr Martin you have some very good points in what you have said and that is how I see it, I will go up but will be selective on what matchs I see.Thank you for your post.

They might not be playing that well VIc but they have not lost since the last time you were up there, so are you a jinx or do they know when you are there.
Hey but I can not disagree with Martin and if we want the crowds back we have to entertain and start scoring goals.

It is an ex golf buggy Vic not a gokart but you know you can use it just wait at the bottom of the slope. As for getting you up with J. P there is no chance sorry, unless of course you have a few bob to sponsor the match and I mean a bit more than your £10 entrance.
Anyway why be up there when you can be with us behind the goal, I take it just because we have not lost for a few games you fancy sneaking back, just leave your jinx hat at home..
