16:1980874Georgette Rapley is standing for the Indies for the Town Council seat.We seem to have a full house because I had heard the Tories were not standing, then I am told they are,so we have Lab Con Ukip Ind just need to know the Greens and the Bnp,oh yes forgot about the Libs,or are they the same as the Tories now

If you knew what I know,we would both be in trouble!

16:2780880Yes I was just going to comment on that too Roger...Vic is clearly trying a scattergun approach but its not generally considered to be a good move doing that. But lets see how it pans out. If enthusiasm ruled Vic would certainly win.. but it is the wider view with a combination of harmony with the voter and local political knowledge and support that wins the day.
Well very interesting to hear that Howard re your leaflet. As a fellow forumite we must wish Pat Sherratt a good campaign. He is certainly a man active in the community. But no doubt Pat will come on and tell us more.
Gordon Cowan as ever is a very good candidate.

17:2880914Now that so much on spending cuts is bearing down on us, with Councils poised to lay off staff and cut services, I think we can say that we could do with some new Councillors, people who have a different outlook, and who cannot be held responsible for the devastating situation re. spending that the Councils have got into.
UKIP clearly show great interest in working out where the other parties slipped up, and leading us forward and out of the economic downfall.

You have stated elsewhere on the internet that you will be standing for Parish, Town and District. Another member of UKIP (Dover Branch) has also stated that he will be standing in Castle Ward. Now thats how we know that UKIP are putting a candidate up.

incidentally stewart, after the leaflet arrived someone about your stamp clambered into a getaway car and the driver went off like steve mcqueen in "bullitt".
