"Up to a point, Lord Copper" - German edition.
The truth behind these baseless rumours is important because such stories influence Germans' image of refugees.

1130 security personnel have been posted in Calais since the jungle closed and as we know French coppers are not slow to dish out beatings so the would be migrants there must be a battle hardened lot or just simply violent criminals. Either way it is worrying that some might sneak through to the UK.

From CourtNewsUK
Bucket bomber tells court he learned how to lie about his background in 'The Jungle' in Calais.
'I have never come across a refugee who said he would tell the truth once they were in Europe,' he explains
From Evening Standard -
Hassan, giving evidence at the Old Bailey, told jurors this morning the story was invented to secure asylum, and he only left Iraq because he was “bored” with his manual labour job.

Tells a good yarn, first off he says that he came from a wealthy family then claims his parents died when he was little and his uncle made him leave school at 15 to work 16 hour days lugging vegetables around.

I know this off topic but did anyone hear of a woman the other week going off the Port Dover fly over JW?
If only everyone could be kind and honest what a better world we would be in.

They all do. I used to interview them. Before sending them back to where they came from.

What about the ones who have "lost" all their documents and refuse to say where they came from or simply tell an untruth about their origin?

Been there. Done it. It's complicated. I've no intention of expanding on this.

Nothing like it on our side Brian, seems that they get waved through too often.
