And so it will continue, largely unabated as it has been for many years all the time the authorities both sides of the channel treat the “perpetrators” with kid gloves. Who the hell is actually in control here, certaintly not us!
And people wonder why the so called “far right” are gaining ground!

The French Ministry of the Interior estimated clandestine immigrants ("sans-papiers ") in France numbered anywhere between 200,000 and 400,000, also expecting between 80,000 and 100,000 people to enter the country illegally each year.

Frankly, a few thousand at the channel ports are the least of their problems - especially since they are trying to leave!

Sounds a bit far fetched that they are jailed within a week of the botched crime, doesn't sound like they were given time to mount a defence.

Their country. Their rules. I honestly don't care one jot. Furthermore 'l'aide juridictionnelle' or Legal Aid is, I believe, only available for those legally resident in France. If only we treated 'foreigners' the same.

Casting my mind back to when the "jungle" was in Calais a chap from the dark continent was caught burgling a home nearby and he complained in court that he needed money as he drank a litre of brandy daily. He was banged up within 48 hours but I thought the European court of human rights normally stepped in such a situation.

The French police still behave like proper policemen with suspects regularly 'banging their head getting the back of the transit'. They also have the total support of the greater part of the population.
Here's a report from Calais last year:-
https://www.theguardian.com/world/2017/oct/29/calais-child-refugees-police-beatings-harassment
Whereas in this country there would probably have been an expensive enquiry, accusations of institutional racism and race awareness training for 'tout le Plod', over there no-one actually gives a toss and if someone gets tear-gassed or banged over the head the general consensus is that perhaps they shouldn't have been there in the first place.
They have a Police Force (the clue's in the word 'force') dealing with crime, we now have a Police 'Service' of uniformed social workers dealing with people with 'challenging behaviour' caused by 'chaotic lifestyles' making 'poor choices'.
I prefer the French system.

Slight delay in this lot shortly coming to a cannabis farm near you. Will first need to be interviewed by Border Farce before going missing from a Kent childrens' home.

'intercepted at Dover Western Docks '!
They can't even be bothered trying to slip in on a quiet beach because they know the Home Office has not got the bottle to send them back to France.

Eritreans this time! Thank goodness they brought their sleeping bags as the Home Office has no room to detain them.
