i thought she was just taking the mickey out of the wax work.
Not how I viewed it Howard and if that is the case, and also an acceptable excuse how come she is " unavaliable " for comment

You may all be relieved to know that the Blakes customer who wore the Nazi uniform in the line of duty is Bernard Hepton who played Karl the commandant of Colditz Castle in the eponymous TV series in the 1970s.

It goes to show one must be very careful what one posts on social media, like Tweet and blogs: it can come back later on and ruin a career

i never knew that bernard hepton lived around here, one of my all time favourite actors.
stsrted off with the sinister roles then moved into comedy where he played the office manager in "the squirrels", only done one series as far as i can remember, was a bit too subtle for some.
just to be on the safe side peter, it might be better the next time he comes in to have him taken round the back and shot.

The first time he walked in I turned to HiD and said My goodness I'm sure I recognise him but I can only picture him in a German uniform.

There has been a new development in this story..
headline...
TORY MP AIDAN BURLEY HAS BEEN SACKED.
The guy at the centre of all this row Aidan Burley MP has been sacked by Tory Transport Minister Justine Greening. Ms Greening, herself only a recent appointee, has clearly thought it better to be rid of her Parliamentary Private Secretary in the aftermath of the Nazi fury.
Burley is suddenly friendless. Prime Minister Cameron has ordered a full investigation into Burley following further revelations from The Mail on Sunday. MP Burley has apologised to all including even the Jewish Cronicle, but its not enough for the PM.
A Conservative Party spokesman said:
"Aidan Burley has behaved in a manner which is offensive and foolish.
"That is why he is being removed from his post as Parliamentary Private Secretary at the Department for Transport.
"In light of information received the Prime Minister has asked for a fuller investigation into the matter to be set up and to report to him."
So there you have it.

Interesting to read through postings.
Some with veiled defence of the man............but majority with heartening condemnation.

Full marks indeed to Justine Greening over this, also i suspect David Cameron did not want his front bench in any way associated with Nazi salutes and chants and..heavens... toasts to Hitler. The Tory big axe eventually wielded.
As we can see in many cases the sensitive nature of the general population nowadays is reflected in and by the media..you pay the price ( see post 49).

Well what can you say your actions always fined you out in the end, these people who have jobs within the lime light really should think twice before doing such foolish acts.

The following from Sky seems to make it all the more sinister:
"The Mail on Sunday, which exposed the party a week ago, said it had evidence that Mr Burley was aware of what was planned as he had hired the Nazi uniform worn by his friend."
If this be the case, which the full investigation ordered by Dave will find out, Parliament might to well to issue a special code of conduct to its members.
Also, if the allegation is true, I think the MP will certainly have to resign his post in Parliament altogether.

i don't think it will go that far alex, burley is a rising star that dave will want to keep up his sleeve for later.
as with all these scandals he will be sidelined for a while then brought back in a year or two when it is all forgotten.
probably about the same time as liam fox.

It works both ways; for every Aidan Burley there's an Elliott Morley or two.
This is one of the things that makes me sick to the stomach about party politics. All Tories are not like Burley any more than all Labour people are like Morley. Let each stable deal with its own rotten apples ( sorry about the mixed metaphor!) and keep to the issues.
