Excellent out of the box thinking we must move the war memorial to Castle street, that should satisfy Augusta.

Unlikely, Howard, I believe she is a determined lady who will not be satisfied until your head is on a spike outside the Town Hall.

Point of clarification, matter relating to a flagpole is subject of pre-planning advice application to DDC. Maison Dieu House and the actual War Memorial are Grade II listed and nothing can be done until that advice has been received.

Pam, I think you mean #16.
I see the proposed new flag pole as Dover's way of commemorating the start of the 1914 war but dislike the personal comments being thrown by both sides of the argument.

Yes, did mean #16. Re personal comments, believe I have not made any personal remarks but plenty have been made about me but have tried very hard to "rise above it" . As I said previously await report from DDC.

I have not seen any abusive comments from the Mayor, pity the same cannot be said for those orchestrating and contributing to the vile campaign against her and her family.

I did not say the mayor in case that is what you are inferring, name calling reflects badly on those who do so in public.

Proof of a vile campaign please Howard Mcsweeney in particular from our group, you have to remember that we are not responsible for what people other than our group have to say, just to let you know we also have had some pretty bad stuff come our way it is not all one sided.

If unacceptable stuff is posted to someone's status then the host can delete as you know Lyn. if it is to a group then admin can do likewise if they choose to.
In both cases nobody chose to.

Proof of vile campaign please ? Yes posts can be deleted as you say, but they prove how much bad feeling there is. When you think this whole episode could have been avoided if the request for a Union Flag had been taken seriously & planning applied for, let's face it most of the Councillors were for it - the Mayor rode rough shod over it - not democracy. This campaign has never been about politics or racism which we were accused of by Howard Mcsweeney. I did see the post in question it was not written by any of us, it wasn't racial it was a question not a statement.

Good to know that Augusta has her mates in place to post on her behalf.

Oh please Howard Mcsweeney we aren't all like you, my thoughts, my words my feelings - I speak for myself no one else, I also answer questions which you do not or maybe can't - Proof of vile campaign please !! I repeat this campaign is NOT political or racist. As for being a "mate" of Augusta,s yes I am a friend & I do support her, she is 10 times more patriotic than you, the Mayor & all your cronies could ever be.

Not worthy of you, Howard. As moderator of this forum you ought perhaps to take a step back and not get caught up in the controversial stuff. A bit like the mayor, in fact.
