I'm afraid I always try to keep an open mind on such matters.

"I'm a non-believer" usually = closed mind Keith. Non-believer is not the same as sceptic.

Keith is not the proof there when you look up in the sky?
After all we now know what the stars are, we have a good idea about the vastness of the universe and the billions of galaxies each made up of billions of suns. From the very few suns (stars) that have been observed closely we know that planets are commonplace orbiting these stars as well. Earth-like planets are certainly less common but if just one planet is earth-like per billion suns then there must be billions upon billions of earth-like planets. If so there will certainly be life on them and from that it is a small logical jump to the thought that there must also be intelligent life.
The law of probability should be enough proof for anyone with an open mind.
Scientists also believe that the building blocks of life were deposited on earth by meteorites and I am quite certain that the earth wont be the only planet to have been bombarded with meteors.

To extend that, how "Earth-like" does a planet need to be to support life? On our own planet we have lifeforms surviving and thriving at the frozen poles, around volcanic gas plumes in the ocean depths and even around the rims of active volcano's. This is 'clear proof' of the adaptability of life and thus ample evidence that life can and will find a way to develop and survive in a host of seemingly hostile environments.
Politics, it seems to me, for years, or all too long, has been concerned with right or left instead of right or wrong.

Some of the volcanic and subterranean micro-organisms discovered have Hydrogen-based physiology as opposed to most earth life which needs oxygen. It follows that life could exist on planets with a methane atmosphere.

No such thing as aliens, no other life form , no evidence,

we cannot see electricity or radio waves, but they exist.

Nobody can categorically state that aliens do not exist, but then neither can they state they do either. However probability states that it is highly likely that intelligences are out there.
The sheer unimaginable scale of the universe in size and throughout time implies that it is highly likely there were great civilisations 'out there' that flourished and bit the dust long before the dinosaurs appeared. Similarly there will be others that will not appear until long after we have become extinct and Earth turned to a cinder.
What is highly unlikely is that even if interstellar travel were possible, that another civilisation of just the correct level of technological advancement is out there in local proximity and is visiting us. Not impossible mind, just highly unlikely. Much more likely is that there are countless worlds stretched out across the barren wastes populated with little more than bacteria.
As mentioned above by another poster, UFOs have nothing to do with this issue, and Star Trek is just entertainment, not a serious proposition that all aliens have latex bumpy foreheads and wear lycra.

Melissa is right. I often base my views of public opinion on her statements.
It seems to be an unsophisticated and straight-forward judgment, realistic, most of all....down to Earth (or shall I say Venus?)

be careful what you say about extra terrestrials alex, they may be watching your every move.
once they strike and you are abducted they are likely to perform agonising and stomach turning experiments on you.
try not to worry though.

See, they do exist. Proof:

And no, I'm not responsible for the above.

It's not that manifestations don't exist, I have seen some myself, but they are not of extraterrestrials from other planets.
The one in Phil's video (I know Phil didn't make it) could easily be an edited production on a background image of Dover Harbour.
I noticed that it didn't bear the markings of Mars
Generally speaking, though, an unidentified flying-craft could be an angelic manifestation.

I dont often agree with Barry , well never actually , but on this subject i do . There is no proof god exists yet millions believe seeing isnt always believing .
