Seems there are queues again at the Docks, combination of weather and a DFDS ferry on refit allegedly, just as well My Ferry link are still there or it would be a lot worse!

Better now than at the height of the season or have the thing break down mid channel.

Fully agree Jan, refits are a necessity, but the impact of one Ferry missing is plain to see never mind the loss of a operator!

Let's hope Nigel Farage is not stuck in the traffic, it wouldn't be down bad weather and ferry in for refit.

It is the refit season when things are quieter so each ferry company sends away one ferry at a time for their annual drydock.
Dunkerque Seaways has just completed hers and been replaced by the Delft Seaways then it will be the Dover Seaways turn.
P&O have been conducting their refits for some time. Believe the Pride of Kent is away for a very extended refit at present due to various problems.
The build up of traffic is regrettable but I imagine that it is mainly due to the endless high winds which cause delays in berthing and reduce the number of ferries which can turn round in any given time.
I have been on the Dover Seaways for the last week and the wind has been unrelenting, it is like living in a wind tunnel. Perhaps it has not been so apparent ashore.

If Stack is operated properly only enough should be released from it that can be accepted into the Docks, if not it defeats the object?
