Police appeal for witnesses following attempted robbery in Tower Hamlets

Officers investigating a report of an attempted robbery at a Dover jewellery store are appealing for witnesses to come forward.

At around 5.25pm on Friday (12 January 2018), two men entered the shop in Tower Hamlets Road. It was reported that one of them approached the member of staff and tried to spray him with an unknown substance but the victim was able to push the man back towards the door.

The two suspects left empty-handed, along Tower Hamlets Road towards De Burgh Street.

One man was described as 5 ft 10 ins tall with a slim build.  He was wearing a black hooded top with a grey scarf around his mouth and nose.

The second man was also 5 ft 10 ins tall  but with a stockier build. He was dressed in dark clothing.
