Attempted robbery near Dover

Officers are investigating a report of an attempted robbery in Shepherdswell, Dover. 
 
Kent Police received a report that at 8.15pm last night (Wednesday 14 March 2018), a man entered a shop in Eythorne Road and threatened a member of staff with a knife.
 
He demanded cash from the till, however, the shop assistant refused and activated an alarm. The offender left the shop empty-handed and ran towards the A2.
 
He is described as white, 18 to 25 years old, 5ft 8in tall, of slim build and with a Liverpool accent. He was wearing black clothing including gloves and a balaclava that covered his face. The weapon is described as being a kitchen knife with an 8-inch blade.
