Monday, 9 January 2017
Detectives are appealing for witnesses after burglaries were reported at flats above three rural pubs.

The first took place in a flat above a pub in The Street, Finglesham, between 9pm and 10pm on Wednesday 4 January. A quantity of cash was reported stolen.

The second took place in a flat above a pub in Canterbury Road, Wingham, between 11pm on Wednesday 4 January and 11am on Thursday 5 January. Nothing was reported stolen.

The third burglary took place in a flat above a pub in High Street, Temple Ewell, between 2.15pm and 11pm on Friday 6 January. A quantity of cash was reported stolen.

Detectives are linking the three incidents. Detective Sergeant Matt Smith said: "On all three occasions the offender gained access by forcing open an upstairs window at the back of the premises.

"All three occurred in fairly rural locations and we believe the offender would have needed a vehicle.

"We urge anyone who saw any suspicious people or vehicles in those areas during those times to contact us."
