Witness appeal after assault in Dover flat

Kent Police is appealing for witnesses following a report of a serious assault in Dover on Sunday (23 April 2017).

The assault is reported to have taken place between 10.30pm and 11pm at a flat in London Road. A man in his 50s was taken to hospital with a serious facial injury.

Investigating officer Detective Constable Jeff Brunger said: "We are currently trying to establish the circumstances of the incident and are appealing for anyone who has any information to contact us.

"We would also like to hear from anyone who saw or heard anything suspicious in the area between those times."

At 11.49pm the same evening a woman in her 20s from the Dover area was arrested in the town centre on suspicion of causing grievous bodily harm and three counts of assaulting police. She has been bailed until 17 May 2017 while enquiries continue.
