Gareth David Price was sentenced on 25 May 2017 at Thanet Magistrates' Court. He pleaded guilty to burglary.

On 2 August 2016 the 33-year-old, of Bench Street, Dover, broke into a shop in Lower Road, Dover, and stole cigarettes and related items worth £2,802.32.

Magistrates sentenced Price to 42 days in prison. He must also pay £2,802 compensation. 

Jon Porter was sentenced on 23 May 2017 at Thanet Magistrates’ Court. He pleaded guilty to driving while disqualified and driving without insurance. 

On 27 April 2017 the 22-year-old, of Oswald Road, Dover, drove a Volkswagen Golf in Broad Oak Road, Canterbury, while disqualified and with no insurance.

Magistrates sentenced Porter to 59 days in prison and banned him from driving for 578 days. He must also pay a £115 victim surcharge. 

James Fraser Reid was sentenced on 24 May 2017 at Folkestone Magistrates’ Court.

He pleaded not guilty to using threatening, abusive or insulting words or behaviour and assaulting a police officer but was convicted of the offences by magistrates. He pleaded guilty to failing to surrender to court bail. 

On 17 December 2016 the 40-year-old, of Edred Road, Dover, used threatening, abusive or insulting words or behaviour in Farm Lane, Deal. He also assaulted a police officer. 

On 28 March 2017 he failed to surrender to bail at Folkestone Magistrates’ Court without reasonable excuse. 

Magistrates sentenced Reid to eight days in prison. He must also pay £100 compensation.
