Summer fun in Dover District

With the school holidays fast approaching, there’s a whole range of great things to see and do in communities across Dover, Deal, Sandwich and the surrounding rural areas this summer.

Following the end of term this Friday (21 July 2017), a range of events over the following week includes:
 
  • The Up on the Downs Big Summer Festival - taking place from Saturday 22 July - 6 August, with a fun fortnight of events for all the family in the district
  • The Big Wildlife Survey and an Evening Bat Walk -  both taking place in the Kearsney Parks on Saturday 22 July, as part of Love Parks Week
  • Deal Regatta Week and Carnival - from Saturday 22 - Thursday 27 July, with a range of events in the community over the week
  • Wild Weekend at Betteshanger Country Park - on Saturday 22 July from 10am-5pm, with a range of activities for everyone
  • Funday Sunday at Samphire Hoe - on Sunday 23 July, from 12 noon to 4pm, with a traditional style country fair to celebrate 20 years of Samphire Hoe
  • Family Activity Day at Dover Museum - on Thursday 27 July, 10.30am-3pm, with a free activity day featuring a range of games for all the family to enjoy
  • A Walk Fit For a King - on Saturday 29 July from 2pm, join the White Cliffs Countryside Partnership walking to Sandwich Beach.
