Kent Police updates: Dover man sentenced for driving and shoplifting offences

From the latest Kent Police "Justice Seen, Justice Done" bulletin:

Jason Lee Cox was sentenced on 6 June 2017 at Folkestone Magistrates' Court.

He pleaded guilty to driving while disqualified, driving without insurance and two counts of shoplifting.

On 21 January 2017 the 44-year-old, of Victoria Park, Dover, drove a Peugeot 306 in Dour Street, Dover, while disqualified and with no insurance.

On 16 March 2017 he stole a dressing gown worth £38 from a shop in Sandgate Road, Folkestone and perfume worth £39 from a shop in Alexandra Gardens, Folkestone.

Magistrates sentenced Cox to 120 days in prison, suspended for 15 months, banned him from driving for 12 months and gave him a three month curfew to remain at home between 8pm and 6am daily. The curfew runs until 5 September 2017. He must also pay £85 costs and a £115 victim surcharge.
