Image released following attempted robbery in Dover

Officers investigating a report of an attempted robbery in Dover have issued a computer generated image of a man they would like to identify.

It was reported that between 10.30 and 11.30am on Sunday 11 June 2017, the victim, a woman in her 50s, was walking from Tower Street onto Priory Hill in Dover when she was approached by a man.

The victim was reportedly verbally threatened and demands were made for her handbag, however the victim refused and was able to run away and report the incident.

The suspect is described as white, around 17 years old, about 5 ft 8 ins tall, with a medium build and had small cut-like scars under his eyes.

He was described as wearing a black cap over dark hair, black trainers, a black hooded top with grey jogging bottoms. Anyone who recognises the suspect in the image, or has any information about the incident are asked to call Kent Police on 01843 222289 quoting ZY/24728/17.
