Dover man sentenced for driving offences

A man from Dover has been banned from driving and given a curfew after being sentenced for driving offences at Folkestone Magistrates’ Court last week.

Kevin Jackson Harris pleaded guilty to driving without insurance, driving while unfit through drugs and drug driving.

On 25 March 2017 the 54 year old, of London Road, Dover, drove an Audi A4 in High Street, Dover, with no insurance and while unfit through drugs. He gave a blood test of five microgrammes of THC acid (cannabis) per litre of blood. The threshold limit for cannabis is two microgrammes.

Magistrates banned Harris from driving for two years and gave him a ten-week curfew to remain at home between 8pm and 6am daily. The curfew runs until 31 October 2017. He must also pay £85 costs and an £85 victim surcharge.
