A range of renovations has been completed on public buildings and facilities across the district - including recent repair and painting works on the Dover Museum frontage and the tram shelter on Folkestone Road in Dover.

Forty six new bus shelters have also been put up in communities in Dover and Deal. This follows DDC's decision to award a new contract to provide and maintain the shelters over the next 15 years. The new contractors have also installed advertising spaces for DDC messages in Dover town centre.

The council have also put in 65 new Pay & Display parking ticket machines across Dover, Deal and Sandwich. To help provide innovative and environmentally friendly facilities, 58 of the new machines are solar-powered, all of them take euros, and 11 of the machines in the busier car parks are able to accept Chip & Pin and contactless card payments.
